Title: Determinants of quality of life in young technical professionals: the role of job expectations
Abstract: The main objective of this research was to examine the influence of job expectations on the main determinants of quality of life, physical, emotional, and social well-being, among young technical professionals, using graduates of the mechatronics program at a public technological institute in Peru as a reference. The study was part of basic research, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, and descriptive-correlational scope. The sample consisted of 250 technical training graduates. The findings revealed a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.702 and a significance level (p) of 0.003, confirming the existence of a significant relationship between job expectations and quality of life. Based on these results, it is recommended that the curriculum be continuously updated in line with labor market demands in order to promote a better quality of life for graduates.
